Turner Falls

A few days before the weekend, our friends Christen and Clay asked us if we wanted to go camping with them at Turner Falls, Oklahoma. We jumped at the chance. Not only do the boys love camping (we took them with us to Lake Whitney last year) but this summer when we take our annual trip to California we'll actual be driving up to Sequoia and Yosemite National Park for some camping with the fam.

Well the boys did love our day of camping (the trip got cut short when a big storm came through at 2a.m. and our campsite was at risk of getting swept away with the rising river). We had a day full of fun. We set up camp, went hiking, played in the waterfall (the water was FREEZING but the boys didn't seem to mind), played in the river that was right next to our campsite, made s'mores, and relaxed by the campfire. The boys did get to sleep in their sleeping bags but like I said at 2 a.m. the ranger came by and told us that we should move all our stuff before the storm came in. So we decided to pack up and go home since it would probably be raining in the morning anyway.
Even though the trip was cut short we're so glad we got to spend the day camping. Now I can't wait for this summer!

Bluebonnets and a Puppy

Let me introduce to you the newest addition to the Dion family - and no it's not another baby! It's Dakota; our three month old little yellow lab. The boys love her (except she really likes to jump on Cy and knock him over - poor thing). She can be very sweet and very, very playful (that whole puppy thing - I can't wait for that to be over!). We wanted to get a girl not just so that there would be another girl in the family but so that there would be the mothering instict - which she already seems to have. I took Dakota with us to the park to take pictures of the boys in the bluebonnets and she would not stay out of the
pictures!
In the past two weeks that we've had her she's already grown a lot (her parents were 90 and 100 lbs!), learned how to play fetch and learned how to open our back door all be herself! She's almost house broken but between Cy being in a diaper, Chase starting to wear underwear and Dakota, there have been some days where I feel my biggest accomplishment was cleaning up poop!! By the way, Chase goes to the dr. on the 24th for his tummy troubles.

I did get one picture of the boys without Dakota
I hope y'all have a great week! Love ya!
